Flamon Mood ThemeIt packaged in the following zip file, instructions on how to set it up are in the Readme.txt file. It's quite simple really, just a bit of copying and pasting.
You can only make custom mood themes if you have a Plus, Paid, or generally anything-but-Basic LJ account.http://www.freewebs.com/dylp/Flamon.zip- If anyone wants a custom mood theme of their own, I
might be persuaded into making one for you. Or you could make it yourself, it's not hard at all.
In-Depth on how to get rid of the ad space on LJ in FirefoxFirstly, you should be using adblock anyway and the ads wont even load.
1 - Find your Profile folder in Firefox:
- On Windows Vista/XP/2000, the path is usually %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\, where xxxxxxxx is a random string of 8 characters. Just browse to C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ on Windows XP/2000 or C:\users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ on Windows Vista, and the rest should be obvious.
- On Windows 95/98/Me, the path is usually C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\
- n Linux, the path is usually ~/.mozilla/firefox/xxxxxxxx.default/
- On Mac OS X, the path is usually ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/xxxxxxxx.default/
2 - Create a UserContent.css file, or just rename the example file so it's called UserContent.
3 - Open it, put the following code into it (if you renamed the example file, there'll be a bunch of example stuff you don't need and can clear):
div.ljad, /* whole ad div */
iframe#adframe /* iframe inside div */
{
display: none !important;
}
4 - Restart Firefox, the ads should be gone.
In-Depth on how to get rid of the ads on LJ in IE1 - Create a .css file, name it whatever you want, probably something important, and you'll want to save it somewhere important too.
2 - Open it, put the following code into it:
div.ljad, /* whole ad div */
iframe#adframe /* iframe inside div */
{
display: none !important;
}
3 - Open IE. Go to Tools -> Internet Options -> General (Tab) -> Accessibility (button). Click the box that lets you format pages using a specified style sheet, then direct it to the style sheet you created in step 1.
4 - Click OK. Click OK. Restart, the ads should be gone.
I hope this makes it clear and easy for you to block the ads. Blocking them on both Firefox and IE doesn't take more than a few minutes and it's much better and easier for viewing.
